The above are drafts 4 and 5 of our final print product, the magazine promo cover. Overall, the feedback we received for these drafts was much improved compared to drafts 1 through 3. Audiences responded saying that they looked more balanced out. However, the focus group surveys demonstrated that option 5 was just as successful as option 3 scoring an average of 4 out of 5 whereas option 4 achieved the highest at 4.6. Presumably having the text on the left meant that this was one of the first thing audiences read (as we read from left to right). Moreover, it created more space by covering up less of the image of the artist and so looked 'cleaner' and 'better organised'.
